My earlier Thread became one for software making labels, whereas I was asking about getting DVDAS to produce the TEXT in the first place.
1) Sniping Tool appear to copy the whole artwork, and that's how it remains. I can read the Titles off the TV, but the risk of error remains.
2) Ohter suggestions didn't really solve this issue . . . I see there is a DVDA v6 - but I'm still hoping it might create a simple text-file in WordPad, for example.
. . . . Here's how it works.
First open a text editor, I use Open Office, but Word Pad is just as good.
In DVDAS, when you have the compilation in the centre screen select the first button, press Edit Text, place Mouse on the text, right-click, "Copy"
Place cursor on Text program, "paste".
Repeat for every button, using a new line for each title.
The Title (above the buttons) can be done the same way...Selct...click Edit Text click Copy, In the Text Program, make space for the title, then click "Paste".
You now have a text copy of the DVD you are about to burn - like this:
Title of My recent DVD
Button One file title
Button Two file title
Button Three file title
These are generic names, naturally you can change the text by the Edit Text feature - and then do the Copy bit.
Save this under the name of the DVD Title, In Open Office you can generate a Table with Colums/Rows to suit your needs, for example for a Master Index. This is useful if you wonder what files were given to a friend, eg if later you update the film..
This can be processed like any text document, Font, size, (colour), etc.. The space to the right may be used to explain the content and give the Duration, etc.
I don't think this is available from the Rendered Movie, but it was when beiing Editied in Movie Studio, for example.
Perhaps I should have done further research before asking, but it seems rather too many of us use a felt-tip pen to ID the Disc contents.
Sony Software . . . can you make this file available?
As it is it's accurate (Phew!), but not exactly what I expect from a World-Class software vendor.
