Limit in Media Pool?

Is there a limit to the number of scenes that VF2 can handle?

Having captured about 20 minutes of tape successfully, I imported the
clips into the media pool and VF appears not be able to show them all - as
thumbnails or playing them (If I try to play the ones that don't display,
I get a black small screen, but sound plays OK.)

The clips themselves are all OK and it's not always the same ones that
don't appear properly. I've been forced to make my movie in two parts,

Is there a limit on the number of clips/thumbnails that VF can handle?
IIRC, there were about 53 in the piece. I've tried shutting down more or
less everything else in case it's a shortage of resources that's causing
the problem, but there was no improvement.

Anybody any ideas?

Do you have the latest VideoFactory 2 update?

You might look under preferences and tick "Always Use VF Codec" (or something like that).

It reads 2.0c Build 125. Is that the latest?

Thanks. I'll give it a whirl.

Well, did it work?

Sorry to be so slow.

Yes it did! At least, something did, as I've just edited a film with about 90 clips.

However, I also told VF2 to use the first frame of a clip rather than find the best frame. The trouble is, I can't remember where that option was.

Thanks all for your help. :-)

I like VF2. Now I'm getting used to the interface, it's very flexible and capable.
