Linear keyframes are not linear. Is this a bug?

One thing I noticed when upgrading from Video Factory to Vegas was that the linear keyframe is not linear. In VF, a moving pic-in-pic would move at a consistent speed for its entire range of travel. No matter what I do in VV, it starts slow, speeds up in the middle, and slows down as it approaches the end. Is this a bug or working as designed, or my misunderstanding? Is there any way to get a truly linear keyframe where a pan or zoom goes from point A to point B without ANY change in speed?

Try setting smooth to 0.

BINGO! That’s the ticket. Thanks Stephen. I thought it might be my misunderstanding. I never knew what the smoothness was for but I set it to zero as you suggested and the frame moved in a linear fashion just like it use to in Video Factory. Thanks a bunch. This forum is great!
