Lines in red colour

When i preview (in SoFo Video Capture XPress 4.0) or see captured video from DV camera (Canon XM2) i see big horizontal lines (Approximately 3-7pixels) around of a red object and sometimes on blue or in all picture (video progressive).
I see this and other programms (Ulead Media Studio 6.5, Adobe Premiere 6.5, Winproducer 3.)
Any ideas?

This is inherent in DV sampling. The color space is sampled 4:1:1 which means that color isn't stored as sharply as luminance, so strong colors can bleed around the edges of high contrast areas. DV compression can complicate the problem even more.

There's not much you can do about it except to make sure your material doesn't contain strong colors or to use a different compression or uncompressed. Of these, the first choice is probably the best.
