Hi all,
I am quite a newbie to dvd 3
I used to use the dvd a that came with the studio version ,but i wanted to be able to work with dual layer and also to link my shorter stuff together -
So I have a Pre -wedding thing I am working on for a friend -
It has a main menu and then i inserted 6 buttons for each of the six
events she had before the wedding -most are very short 8-15 minutes so at the end of event 1 I would just like it to go start on to 2 at the end of 3 move on to 4 ect.....so start at the menu and continue on to each event after they activate the one they want to start at.
I hope I explained well enough
I would really appreciate any help
thank's
laura

Hi Laura,

Yes, you can do this and here's how:

1. Double-click on the first event button that you made to go into the event

2. Select the End Actions option under Media Properties

3. Make sure the Command property is set to Link and change the Destination property to the next media event (it defaults to the Most Recent Menu

Do this for all 6 of the media clips you have always linking to the next. Now when you press on any one of the buttons, it should continue from that point through the rest of the clips inking to the next one until the end. (leave the last one to link back to the most current menu)

Hope this helps.

Hi Jonny ,
I was just logging back on to say Duh.....
After a hour and half I saw it- i wasn't double clicking into the event
only single clicking on the thumbnail ,so i was only getting the
end actions on the main menu .Finally I gave up and went in to make sure i had the chapter markers on each of the songs and guess what oh....End Action was back-
Thank-you so much for answering-
I had 2 girl friends get married this fall and I just started useing real Vegas verses the studio stuff so I have alot of simpleton questions
And I tend to work late nights on it when not alot of posters are up
-I appreciate the help so much !
