Linking Chapters to Text

I want to make a very simple menu system. One mpeg2 A/V file with several chapter points. I want to link those chapter points to text on the menu. I put the text on the menu, but I can't seem to find a way to link the text to the chapter points. I've done this in DVD Workshop and DVDit PE. How do I do it in Architect?

1. On the menu page, select the menu item for the video
2. Edit | Copy
3. Edit | Paste
4. Select the new object
5. On the Object Properties page, set "Link type" to "Text only"
6. Click the Modify button on the Object Properties page
7. Right-click on the chapter point and choose "Set Start Point"

Also, FYI, there is an automated way to create a scene selection menu...
1. Right-click on the link to the video object
2. Select "Insert Scene Selection..."

Here is how I got the chapters and the 'play all' on the same page (so, just one navigation menu):

1. Set up the main menu with 'play all' choice. (Links to the complete clip)
2. Create the Scene Slection menu (chapter menu)
3. Cut the scene selections (chapters) all at the same time from the scene selection menu.
4. Paste them all into the main menu (they retain links to the chapter points)
5. Arrange them into a decent looking arrangement.

All links you click on will end up right back to this menu, and then there will be no issues.

I know thats a bit odd, and can get complicated with many chapters, but, for few chapters, that is one method, and its quick (you let the 'scene selection' create the linked chapters for you, you just cut and paste them to the single menu that you want! :)

If I understand what you want to do correctly, there is a simple way to do it. Create a scene selection menu. Right click on any chapter link you want. Go to link on the drop down menu. Select text only. This will provide you with text with the name you gave the chapter when you set it up on the clip time line. Right click on the text and go to edit text. Change text as you want, resize, select font, drop shadow, etc. You may then copy and past this linked text button on any menu or sub menu you want and it will retain it's link to the chapter point.

If you want to create a more elaborate text you can create a PNG file in photoshop, place in the graphics chapter point link or any clip link, right click and select image only. The text will appear as text only with the alpha channel showing the menu background. This will work for any graphics file you create.
