Linking multiple tracks together

Hi all-

I have 5 tracks with complex events in each. I want to be able to link all the tracks ( with their included events) togther such that if I choose to edit the sound track ( ie lengthen it ) then all the events in the neighbouring tracks ripple down together and stay in synch.

A crude way would be it group all the events together usign the selector tool. This is tricky as my video is complex and already 45mins long.

Ideally there is some way at the *track level* to group them together so everything gets shunted up / down togther ?

It's not jumping off the pages of the (missing) manual for me - ideas anyone ?

Many thanks Vince

So what's the solution exactly? My VMS only came with a getting started guide, not a manual.

No manuals is one of my real complaints about Plat8 - I can't read on-line help files - they are too disjointed.

I still have a manaul from VMS6 which is 98% correct for functionality in common with plat8

the answer is that for 90% of editing work the default ripple settings are fine ie: ripple only the affected tracks

to affect *all tracks all the time* there is a little drop down on the ripple button .. something which I had never payed any notice to.

There is an intermediate setting as well > ripple all affected tracks / markers / regions
