Lip Sync faster audio to Pop video

Is there a quick way to do this in Vegas 7?

I have a pop video and am trying to sync the faster remix to it - I hold ctrl+drag inwards to get the wavy line to show that the video has speeded up but its in one place and out the other?!

Is there a quick or simpler way to do this?

The orig is about 118bpm and the remix is 127 if that helps?

I'm a little confused. Did you mean to say "and NOT the other"? If so, this makes a little more sense. Is your video on the timeline all one single event or is it split in pieces? If it's split in pieces you'll have to group them all together first before using Ctrl+drag. Once they're grouped then they'll all shrink together.

If you did mean to say "out the other" then i'm guessing you're talking about sync in and sync out points maybe? If this is the case then you have to work at both the length and positioning until you've got the audio and video sync'd from beginning to end. Splitting both at the beginning of the first beat of the music will help since that will prevent the beginning from moving while using Ctrl+drag to adjust the speed.
