prepare project on hard drive from DVDA, and then burn wih burning application that came with your drive, or something else, like Nero.

I had the same problem, my burner was made by the same company. DVDA sometimes will recognize the burner and of course most of the time does not see it. I do exactly what was just mentioned, I prepare it in DVDA, then in Nero I drop the TS folders.

Sounds like a good solution, except... erm... forgive my ignorance but I'm a newbie user and I don't know what you mean by dropping the TS folders (I'm sure it's really obvious, and I'll probably kick myself!) If you can shed some light, I'd be grateful.

Thanks.

I had the SAME problem and i have the SAME burner. What i found is that if you eject the blank disc and then reinsert it on the burn screen it will then come up. HOWEVER - it only did this for + discs. I tried - discs (TDK and IMATION) and neither of them would burn AT ALL. Anyone else have problems with - discs ONLY? I've upgraded my firmware and have the latest version of DVD ARchitect. Hope this helps. THnaks!!!

Hi again.

I have the same burner and I found that my DVD Architect does not recognize TDK OR Imation DVD-R discs. So i prepare in architect and then burn with DVDLab or Nero 6. Successfull results this way.

Also, I burned a Memorex DVD+R in Architect. Didn't work in my generic $35 DVD player. I then burned another Memorex DVD+R disc (from same spool), using DVD Lab. This one played just fine in the same generic $35 dvd player.

It's all about trial and error i think. There's a lot of inconsistency with DVD burning (we all know they're certainly are a lot of variables involved).

If you haven't upgraded your firmware for this drive yet, go here and it is a MUST!
