Live Capture?

Can Vegas4 capture directly to hard drive?

If so, how?

Sure. I do this often. I use the firewire output from my camcorder into a firewire port on my computer, run VidCap (part of Vegas), and record directly to hard drive. Most any video capture software can do this since, well, that's what video capture software does!
