Live editing of photos & key coding curser

I am enjoying all of the new features with Vegas 4, but seem to be missing a few of the old reliables from Vegas 3 that used to save me a boat-load of time. What happend to the live editing of photos that are already placed on the timeline? With Vegas 3 you could place a number of photos (events) over time, pop open Photoshop, correct any glaring problems (like dust, red-eye, etc.) and save the image as the same name, and then Vegas would resample the file similar to an audio edit. I am hoping there is a way to turn this feature back on, but if so, I cannot find it...

Also, the active cursur on the key coding window seems to have gone away. By this I mean, in Vegas 3 you can pop open the event to place a key code, click on the spot on the timeline where you'd like the edit to occur, and the cursur appears on the event editing key code timeline. I hope I am describing this correctly, but that feature has become painful to work around.

If anyone can shed some light on either of these two issues, I would greatly appreciate it.
