Live video feed in vegas.

Is it possible to have a live video feed from firewire, feed into Vegas 5 so i can view realtime waveform and vectorscopes.

Nope.
Check out DV Rack....not shipping yet, and far from free. This is a complex software request, I doubt you'll find anyone doing it right, and free.
