Location of stabilized clips

In VMS11, does anyone know where stabilized clips are stored? If you stabilize a clip called 00000.MTS you get a 2nd clip called 00000.MTS - subclip 1 (stabilized) but I can't find any new file in either the same folder as the original clip, or in the temporary folder:
C:\Users\Joe\AppData\Local\Sony\Vegas Movie Studio HD Platinum\11.0
If you right-click on the stabilized version and choose properties, it refers to the original clip (location and all the file properties)

It must be saved somewhere....

If it's a subclip then it's not a new file. It will be a reference to the original file. Stabilizing must be done in realtime rather than generating a new, stabilized output.

OK, thanks for that... though I am a bit mystified as the stabilization process (producing the subclip event) takes about 30 seconds for a 12 second AVCHD file, on my computer - about the same time as it takes to render a 12 second clip on the timeline. So the results of all that processing must surely be stored somewhere??? Also, the subclip can be previewed just like the original clip and you can clearly see the difference between the original and the subclip.

Couldn't tell you, sorry. I don't have a version of Vegas that includes stabilization. Just curious though, maybe the stabilized version has a bunch of pan/crop keyframes added?

Looks to me like it writes the stabliztion stuff in an SFK file, as my folder now has one related to this specific file.

I had a look too. I couldn't find it either! The sfk filedidn't grow all that much after I did a stabilize, so I don't think it is there either. I used Vista's Resource Monitor to watch for files as they were being written to disc. I couldn't spot anything there either! I looked in the Project Media section and checked the properties (compared the original and the stabilized clip), but to no avail. Looked into the Internal Preferences, but didn't see any setting there either!

Sorry :(

All the .sfk file contains is the picture of the audio waveform.
