Locking all the tracks and time

I am editing a wedding video in VMS10 (great program BTW)
I am often frustrated in that I get all the pieces (audio/video/cameras/etc)
but then I stick in something or make a fade at end or something, and stuff tends to move on the timeline.
Apart from saving the project, is there a way to LOCK all positions at a point and then say: no matter what tweaks I do, the position of everything will NEVER change unless I want it. Is there a button (on/off) or combination that may do this?

If you don't want other events moving out of the way, disable Auto Ripple.
And yes, you can lock events to the timeline from either the Context or Edit menus.
