Locking Sync On All Tracks/Clips -- but w/o grouping

Once I get all my multicam clips video and audio all sync'd up, I'd like to lock all the clips to each other such that they will not get out of sync. Grouping everything will do it, but with grouping I can't do individual trims, etc.

I'd like to have complete independent operation on every clip EXCEPT that all clips at a certain time mark will move in unison and stay in sync if I move a clip. Basically, give me full freedom, but don't allow me to mess up sync.

Does this capability exist?

Thanks.

I am not aware of a way by which you can retain full flexibility and still lock up the audio/video tracks to maintain sync. I usually am careful to lay down markers whenever I want to split tracks - I then snap any copied clips to that marker.

I am also careful to make certain that all is deselected when I go to use any keyboard navigation combinations. Seems that I'm forever alterating track overlay or volume levels inadvertently.

Was just refreshed on Ctrl-Shift-A as the keyboard shortcut to deselect all.

I find it very handy (and a good practice) to quickly deselct whatever you've been working on so you don't inadvertently move something and lose sync.

Good luck.

You can also re-establish sync whenever necessary by deleting the righmost split clips and simply resizing left-most clips and resplitting, assuming the left edge has not been moved, of course.
