Long "encode" times to AC3.

Anyone else ever get this? Occasionally (and I can find no pattern to this) I find that rendering a project to AC3 will go incredibly slowly. If I let it - it would take as long or longer than the mpeg2 render.

When I see this is happening I stop the AC3 "render" and re-start it. Doing this invariably fixes the issue.

Just wondering if this is something peculiar to my system - or if others are seeing this happen as well.

I've seen this when rendering a new version of the same file, same name. Adding an "a" or something to the file name has always cleared it up for me. There isn't a rhyme nor reason to it that I can find.

Thanks for confirming at least that it isn't me. I'll sleep tonight :-)

Mighty strange though.

I too have had this happen many times, both when rendering from scrips (where it happens more often) and when just rendering from Vegas in the normal manner. Stopping the render and re-booting always fixes it. Unfortunately, I haven't been able to come up with a fixed series of steps to reproduce it.
