Look Like The Movies

I was wondering if there was a filter of some sort to make home movies look like big screen movies (or TV). All of my movies taken with my video camera look like daytime soaps and I'm wondering if i can make them look like real TV or movies do? Anyone that could help, I'd appreciate it.

what are you looking for exactly? Like a film look or like your footage was shot on actual film?

I would like it to look like a film look. Not like an old movie shot with an 8mm camera or anything like that (showing bits and blobs on the screen) but just a change in the look of the film from daytime soaps style to big screen.
