i'm just a vegas hobbyist and last year made a photo slideshow with a lot pans & crops. i'm doing another one for a high school boys graduation and was looking for more ideas. anyone have their slideshows or know of slideshows online i can check out? i'm trying to get some new ideas going.
It has a little video and super8 film as well. I highly recommend using just a little video or film, becuase it helps with the illusion that the stills are really moving. Also, pay close attention to the music you use. It is every bit as important as the pictures.
Finally, if you really want to go pro, do a search, both in this forum and on Google for "Ken Burns" and "photos OR photographs". Ken Burns is a famous documentary filmmaker who made famous the technique of first separating (using Photoshop or similar tool) the foreground object from the backgroun, and then panning separately over each, creating an amazing 3D illusion.
