looped background video

I have created a video of pictures and rendered it to mpg2. I have it as the background video in DVD architect studio 2. On play back there is a slight flicker when it starts over. Is there anyway to get rid of that. I have the same picture at the beginning and end.

Try a different DVD player. Some may work better than others. It's entirely depedent on how the players' engineers designed it and there's nothing you can do in Vegas or DVD Architect to change that. According to the DVD spec they're not even required to loop at all, so consider yourself lucky that your player does.

Is it also possible that the flicker is because the transition from the end of the clip to the beginning is not smooth? But, you've probably already addressed that!

If that's not it, what I've done in the past is to make sure that the background video is quite long, longer than most people would likely spend before choosing a menu option. Drawback to this, of course, is that it will take up more space on your DVD, which you might not be able to spare.
