Looping a DVD

I've been asked to convert a VHS to DVD and have it loop forever. I told them I thought the player would need looping capability where DVD or VHS. They said they had one done before.

I thought maybe looping in Vegas till the DVD capacity was full, might be one way to get close. Or is there some way to create a loop with end actions?

In addition it's a rush job for a wedding reception tomorrow. And I have one of those long 20 hour renders going right now. To bad the Sony guys didn't create one of those pause render buttons yet. I probably have to just stop the render (after 7 hours) and start it back after the DVD conversion is is finished.

Yeah, just set the end action to go back to the video clip. It will loop forever...or untill the laser in the DVD player burns out :)

Cool. Thanks. I've only had DVD-A for about 3 weeks now and haven't had a good chance to explore what can be done with end actions.

Most players do loop too (my apex & cyberhome do). Just make it one track & look it.

If you want to keep it simple, make the video the first and only menu background and set the menu to loop. That works even in DVDA 1. Only limitation is the video has to fit into 1 GB, usually more than adequate for this type of thing. Try to make certain what you're looping starts and ends in black to mask the head moving in the player.
