I am working on a DVD which needs to have several loopable videos for use at trade shows. Is there a way to offer a menu with normal - select and play videos and an additional submenu which offers the option of looping/continuous play videos?
Yes, just copy the media again to the menu, and make it's end action to loop. DVDA is smart enough to that it won't duplicate the media, but you now have a menu button that will loop the video until you hit menu on the remote.
I am trying to figure out how to set the end action. I found "end action" in the help screen. And found "end action" on the properties window. But loop is not one of the options in the drop down...
Choose Link and then set Destination to whichever video you want played next. If you want several videos to play in order and then played again, set the first video's Destination to the name of the second one, the second one's to the third one's, etc. Set the Destination for the last video to the name of the first one, and you have a looping set of videos. Be sure to follow n19093's instructions first, though, and be sure you're editing end actions for the new copies, not the original videos.
If you only want one video to loop, then set its Destination to itself.
