Help please...
I have a 4 second wave clip that I wish to loop for the duration of my video footage...approximately 30 seconds...is there a way to set a loop for the clip and assign time intervals for the loop to play..

To clear things up -

Do you want the entire 4 second clip to loop? If so, place it on the timeline, move your mouse pointer over the edge of the event (audio clip). It should turn into a small square with an arrow coming out of it. Click and drag the edge of the event outwards. It will create and extended event with the audio loop being repeated within it (try it and see!). The points where the audio starts from the beginning are indicated by small 'dents' in the top edge of the event.

If you want to loop a smaller section of the clip it gets a little more involve, but isn't that hard.

1) place original clip on timeline. Right click on it and select 'open in trimmer'
2) use the trimmer in looped play mode to find find the section you want to use.
3) at this stage you should have a highlighted section.
4) right click in the trimmer and choose 'Copy'.
5) put your video clip on the timeline. Double click on it. This should highlight it as a loop region.
6) Press 'Home' on your keyboard to position the cursor at the in point of the loop (ie the start of the video clip).
7) In the track mixer (left or time line) click once on the audio track on which you wish to put the looping audio.
8) Press Ctrl+B on your keyboard. Select the number of times you want the audio to be pasted. If you want the audio to repeat at intervals (either with gaps in between or so it overlaps itself) then check the 'Even spacing' box and enter a value.
9) Click 'OK' and you should see your audio clip pasted as a series of events.
10) delete any excess events. If there aren't enough, undo and use Ctrl+B again.
11) To keep things tidy, select the audio events you have just created and group them.

12) to keep things really tidy, you could solo the audio track with the events you have just pasted and then render it you a new track (making a single event).

Hope this helps!
