hey there,

i have a problem never had before. when i render now i have some drop of quality.. colors seem to be different. the black is not black anymore. like if the contract changed.

i am using the same camera sony PD150. which is okay for every other project before.
the thing is. if i play the video from the camera into tv. it looks better. so...

what am i doing wrong ?!!

What format are the original source files?
What format are you rendering to?
What codec and settings are you using?
How are you viewing the output?

very good quastions

i am rendering from the dv taoe into AVI. codec setting i never change and dont know how. it means the stander settings that comes with vegas. i am viewing on ext. tv throw nvidia card with s-video .

it is exactly the same i used before.

what i just did , creating a dvd out of the footage. the colors are pushed back to normal "which dvd players usely do,by pushing the contract up"
but how can i color correct my avi footage if there is drop in colors?!!!

You have no information to help us help you.
What version of Vegas are you using? If you render an mpeg2 from an .avi using the default template, it usually looks bad. You must use the "DVD NTSC" or "DVD PAL" template (open the dropdown from "Default" and choose). There should be no color loss by the time you're done.
There are numerous color correction tutorials, just do a search here.
Be sure your nvidia card is set up properly to give the correct color and picture out to your TV.
