Hello-I'm new to the forum. Been usinf Vegas for the last 10 years. I;ve got some gaps in using vegas that I need help on:

i've lost many a project before, just suddenly they were gone. Don't know why.

I don't know how to encode in my cd;s the name of the song, etc to be able to see it
on the player when playing back.

One software question: Are the effecs 'always on' for each track in a project? It seems when I'm mixing II seem to have to 'blend' the effects together to get a clean sound between the instruments

Hope to get your help if you area a seasoned user.

"I don't know how to encode in my cd;s the name of the song, etc to be able to see it"
- Many players will not read CD text. Other than that, make sure the burn parameter is set to DAO, (Disc at Once) and 'CD text' is enabled.

"Are the effects 'always on' for each track in a project?"
- The plugins can be disabled or removed manually or by right-clicking the green plug-in chainer icon on the track header. The track 'plug-in chainer' default can be changed as well so no plug-ins are normally added.

- Not sure what you mean... but this would be normal if you WANT a certain effect.
