Loss Of Preview When Capturing

In vegas 8.0 when I execute capture and start capturing video, the video preview flips to a saturated black image in Vidcap 6.0e.

Is anyone else experiencing this issue?

Settings in vidcap have no effect.

Are you going to solid black? or are you just seeing your image get "saturated blacks" (i.e. darker)?

If it's the darkening, I posted on this a long time ago, and no-one else experienced this, so I figured it was perhaps some weirdness with my display.

If it's solid black then it's most likely that your preview settings for the capture app are set to not display during capture or something like that ( in the preferneces ).

Usually VidCap's preview goes blue when preview is turned off.

I remember the preview getting darker during capturing with older versions of VidCap. Doesn't seem to do it with newer versions.

Thanks for your response. I uninstalled and reinstalled the software and now I am receiving a preview when capturing.
