In my work I have had real trouble using QT in Vegas so I can relate. and now I have 2 different projects waiting to be cut that actually have ungodly sized QT screen capture movies. The client basically captured dual monitor screen area of his software apps and wanted me to pan and scan them in a regular 1280x720 timeline (cut in and around normal HD video). Anyone know what i could convert those QT movies to so that Vegas would not choke on them and let me pan and scan them?

Nothing very surprising there. I found pretty much the same thing over a 2 years ago. Which is why I starting doing everything in Lagarith.

Oh, and another key point. 64bit versions of Vegas cannot use HuffYUV. However, both 64 and 32 bit versions can read and write Lagarith. But it is SLOW AS SIN. VirtualDUb plays well with Lagarith too.
