lossless render / FX does not transfer with Excal.

This is my "problem":

I have footage from multiple cams. The colour etc. varies on the different clips (due to different cameras).

I was thinking of taking in the entire clips on the timeline to correct the colours etc. and then render it out to a new file that I then will use for multicam editing.

If it is (a) standard DV (avi) and (b) m2t - what lossless render template should I use?

The reason for doing this is that I first thought of putting each "camera clip" on separate track and then apply FX to the track to "tune" the clips to each other. The problem is that when running Excaliber the FX is not transfered from the track to the clip. All clips on the Master track after Excalibur = the original file, without FX from the track.

I'm not even sure that applying FX to a clip (not a track) and then use Excaliber will result in that the clip on the Master track will have the FX. But I have not tried it yet.

So, I thought of doing the major FX (colors) etc. first to new clips and then running Excaliber on the new clips.

Good / bad solution? Comments?

Thanks!

"Track Level" effects will not follow clips to the master track. Instead either use "Event Level" or "Media Level" effects (i..e apply it directly to the event on the track instead of the track or to the media itself in the Project Media).

When placed on either the event or the media, it will correctly follow the clip to the "Master" track.
