Lost Broadcast Monitor connection with Vegas 5

I somehow lost in the output connection to my external broadcast monitor when I upgraded to Vegas 5. Running Vegas 4 everything worked perfectly, I thought upgrading would be the hot ticket, but you know the old saying, if it isn't broken don't fix it, at least for sure when you're beginning a major project. When I lost the output through my Canopus ADVC card to the broadcast monitor you also have no communication with the external DV drives. I've searched the manual and every place else I can think of with no luck reconnecting, of course as I mentioned I'm now in the middle of a major project with a critical timeline getting frustrated. I've checked to make sure there's no hardware issues already, HELP were to why go to tell Vegas 5 to preview on external monitor?????

Sometimes it's the easiest things we miss. I presume you did press the 'Preview on External Monitor' icon just above the display/monitor window?

Also check under 'Preferences > Video Device' to see what is set there.

Thank you for the reply, I fully agree sometimes the easiest things we miss. I did press the preview on external monitor button with no success, none of the wireing or anything was changed only upgraded to Vegas 5. In preferences video device I have listed IEEE 1394/DV device, everything looks the same as it was Vegas 4. I'm thinking I might need to troubleshoot my Canopus card, and make sure nothing was disabled.

Thanks again.
