Lost Product Code

I bought a copy of Vegas 8.0 two years ago for a laptop and edited a documentary with it. Last week, the laptop died and I had to buy a new one. I re-installed the original Vegas disk on my machine, but it's asking for a product code to run it. The original packaging is long gone and I don't think I registered it. Ironically, I did write down my DVD Architecht code, but not Vegas. DUH! Am I hooped trying to load my own Vegas disk on to my new computer? Thanks for the help!!!

To see if you registered Vegas Movie studio, click on "My Account" at the top of this web page, then select "My Software". This will list all the software you have registered and all the corresponding serial numbers. Hopefully you did register it and can simply retrieve the serial number there.

Another good idea with any software you purchase: right away, write all related serial numbers right on the CD or DVD itself (on the label side, of course!) so later if you still have the CD you'll still have the serial numbers.

AND .. make a *copy* of the disk and write the info on that as well .. and keep it someplace other than the original disk.
