I reported this same error a little over a week ago in a couple of fourms but found no resolution. I'm still on v5 (latest build) of Vegas.

Can you provide more detail? Does Vegas blow away, is there a dialog box, did you move any of your media to another folder or drive, defrag, etc.?

Thanks,

I just had a similar problem - I was creating a new project using media from an older version.  I re-installed the software and then recreated the new project AFTER removing a (now) unsupported add-in.  I suspect the latter add in was the problem all along.  All is well now!
