Low frame rate in clips

Just noticed this problem when switching over to V6b. It seems like some video clips placed on the time line are playing at 15 - 20 fps. If I open the clip in the trimmer, it plays at the correct frame rate - 29fps. I can then copy the clip from the trimmer into the timeline and it plays correctly. This has happened randomly to say 10 clips out of 400 in a project.

The video display shows that its playing at full frame rate and so does the clip properties. If I open another Vegas window and copy the clip into there it plays fine too. I was just wondering if anyone has had this problem and if there is a fix for it?

I am noticing a rate drop as well. Although I build using the preview in a window, I have had the enable sencond monitor preview option set. By turing this off, the rates went back up again, for a while, then dipped again.

Is it a memory leak? I have 2Gb RAM and am using the same settings as 5.0d. Why is memory usage building as I play a clip on the timeline? Someting's not right.
