Low Memory Error on Capture Video

When I click "capture video" I get an error saying "the system is low on memory" I have a p4 1.6g with 512 megs of ddr ram win 98se and I'm using vv 3.0c. Adobe premiere and Ulead Video Studio 6 work fine. I have tried uninstalling a few times with no luck. The system properties says the system is over 70% free. Any suggestions?

Oh yeah, I have a 80 gig 7200 rpm hard drive as well partitioned into 2 sections 10 gigs for c: and the rest for d: the system runs on c: and I save everything else on d: if that helps. Thanks for any help.

Not sure why you are getting this message, but have you tried turning off preview? That helped me avoid some frame droppings. :)

The only time I have ever seen those types of errors....we're/are on Win 98SE.
I would get them in a prog called Adobe Photo Deluxe Business Edition(still trying to figure out why it's called Business Edition). It didn't like the fact that I disabled Virtual Memory, even though 512MB qualifies you to do so.......so I've read.

FWIW, check your VM settings, disc cache settings. I like 98SE, but have you considered XP...?...not that this has anything to do with this.
