I think that's normal, since DV pixels are rectangular and the still image pixels are square.

If you just want your video to come to a stop, you can avoid having to save a still image - just insert a velocity envelope on the clip, and make a sharp transition from 100% to 0%.

That is normal. If you want the full 720 x 480, use the copy to clipboard button instead. You will then have to paste it into your paint program. For more information about snapshots, read the

Also, if you save the image while previewing in the trimmer, it will NOT apply the pixel-aspect-ratio-correction, and the image will remain 720x480. If you are using still in the DV project, it's best to save WITH the pixel-aspect ratio correction applied, however
