Lower Thirds

I am trying to create some creative lower thirds and would appreciate some guidance, help or tutorials. I read some feedback about Ulead Cool3D and Heroglyph. I downloaded the demo for both

I am trying to create something like the one here on digital juice site, using this link

http://www.digitaljuice.com/products/products.asp?tab=t3&ptkcid=0&cat=2&pos=3&page=2&vnext=1&pid=39&cid=4&xid=83#tabs

Image -> 067_lowerthird

Can some guide me on how to start. do I need to create hearts in Photoshop (large, small, other sizes) animate them in Cool3d or just go directly to vegas and do it there

Thanks

I wrote an article on that in my newsletters in one of the last two or three issues.

THanks, is that the one you are referring to?

So I guess you are recommending everything to be done in Vegas itself without going to third party applications like Ulead or Heroglyp

Yes, that is the direct link. I didn't remember exactly which issue (turns out it was the very last one).

By using these techniques you can create them direcly in Vegas. There is really no "need" to use 3rd party applications. Having said that, there may be some effect that a 3rd party app lets you easily create that you wish you use instead. I usually just create them in Vegas.
