where would one go to find good ones, any links?

Define good ones. Personally, I make my own LUTs for whatever look I need at the time. The last thing I want to do is apply some LUT without understanding what it is trying to accomplish.

I started working on series of videos explaining everything about LUTs, but was very sick at the time and did not finish it. I probably will finish it someday, but at least here is where it will all appear:

Power LUTs

Can you imagine the silence if everyone only said what he knows?

Let's say there are technical LUT's and creative colour grading LUT's. The technical ones are for converting camera formats (eg LOG to rec 709) etcetera. You can find some good Vegas related information about this by looking up Jacob Balazer on this forum and visiting his website.

Grading LUT's are available for free or cheap from every wannabe expert filmmaker / photographer and his dog. IMHO it is not worth paying for them. Better to learn to grade and create your own LUT's that work with YOUR grading of specific camera footage - so you can control the entire process. You can make and export LUT's in DaVinci resolve, Filmconvert, or even Affinity Photo.

thanks guys for the thoughts, like I have said I am new to the whole video thing. One of the tutorials I was going through talked about them so wanted to get a idea if others use them, appreciate it!
