M-Audio Sonica Theater --- anyone?

Is anybody using this nice looking USB box with Vegas yet?

I've got a Turtle Beach Santa Cruz in right now, but it only actually outputs 5.1 monitoring about 50% of the time. Every now and then I have to stop and start the timeline a few times to get it to pick up the 5.1 mix.

The Sonica Theater seems to be a little higher quality, has a digital output, and just seems to be more versatile all around.

It's a decent little card. We recently gave 2 of these away in a Sundance contest. It's not pro by any means, but a decent little card. You won't get solid 5.1 RT out of any low end card for a while yet...The Sonica does a decent job, but....

So it's probably not going to be much of an upgrade over my turtle beach...Well, it's $100 I don't have to spend then, right?

I basically just need a card for steering. Most of my work is music related, and the audio mixes are done on a different system with studio monitors, and the final mixes brought in and synced to the video in my system.
