M2T rendering probs and loss of fx on copy/trim

I seem to have an inordinate amount of trouble rendering my film shot on the V1. I can only render in a resolution so low it is barely YOUTUBE quality...it always gets the lack on memory window which is wrong because I have sent it to my friend who has the latest 64 bit and he also gets crashes...infact the copy and trim isn't working either and whatever opens on cut and trim comes out without any media fx...I am at a loss...anyone????

You "shouldn't" be having any problem with HDV.

Can you post your complete system specs, your project properties and render properties?

Can you upload somewhere a 30 sec. native clip of the footage that is giving you trouble?

Well I have an Hp running on Vista. it is 3g memory...I am not that technically inclined so specs are an issue for me...I mentioned though that I did a copy/trim and sent to Fisher Creative Services and their whiz bang 8 gig machine couldn't even open the file for 1 hour...the media fx were also lost on the copy/trim...so it is not just my computer...I did a bit of a search here and there seems to be somewhat of an issue with rendering M2t files...I just couldnt find an answer that i coould understand...sorry if I am not to computer literate....

Upload a native clip from your camera somewhere.
If you are unable to provide any specifics, that is your only chance of getting help here.
