.M2TS Problems

Hi! I recently picked up a copy of Movie Studio HD 9, that was on sale at walmart, lol. I have a HD-PVR that records in either .M2TS or .MP4, I can add the .M2TS onto the timeline just fine, but when I start to play it, Movie Studio Stops working. Any Ideas?

All PVR footage contains indexing errors.
Download the trial of VideoRedo and run your files through Quickstream Fix before bringing them into Vegas.
Actually, if you're just wanting to cut commercials, VideoRedo will do it all.

Or just get Movie Studio HD 10 - it handles Hauppauge HD-PVR files with ease.

I agree. Movie Studio HD 10 does handle Hauppauge HD-PVR files - - most of the time. I have had files that would not open. I think it has something to do with the start of the file. When transferring from my DirecTV DVR I sometimes pause a recorded event and when I see TME recording to the hard drive I press play. I can fix these files by trimming a bit off the beginning of the file with VideoRedo.
So your choices are:
1. Keep Movie Studio 9 and get VideoRedo.
1. Upgrade to Ver. 10. This will probably work. But you might end up having to also get VideoRedo.
