Hi there,

I have a problem with my Vegas Movie Studio HD 11. When I want to render a video in the .m2ts format, it says there is a problem and cannot render my video. I tried a lot of thing without solving the problem.

It says:

Problem Description

Application Version: Version 11.0 (build 75)
Problem: Unmanaged Exception (0xc0000005)
Fault Module: C:\Windows\SysWOW64\ntdll.dll
Fault Address: 0x770FF50F
Fault Offset: 0x0002F50F

Fault Process Details
Process Path: C:\ProgramFiles(x86)\Sony\VegasMovieStudioHD11.0\FileIOSurrogate.exe
Process Version: Version 11.0 (Build 75)
Process Description: File I/O surrogate (not visible)
Process Image Date: 2012-04-13 (Fri Apr 13) 18:10:14

I really don't know what to do anymore. I tried new version of Movie studio and Pro but they both crash :/ It's a shame that happen just when I want to try them on my new CPU

Please help.

What model camcorder is your original footage coming from and what format and resolution is it? What are your project properties?

Have you ensured you have the latest version of Quicktime from Apple?

Also, how much free, freshly cleaned, freshly defragmented space is on your hard drive?

I downloaded the lastest version of Quicktime and the problem is fixed.

Thank you Steve.

Someone help me please. I don't want to find another video editing program.

Almost all IOSurrogate problems are tied to your Quicktime version and installation.
As a test, roll back to QT 7.6.x
That is the more-or-less bulletproof fallback with Vegas.
If it works, roll forward until you find the sweet spot for your system and Vegas version.

Sony, although it relies on the Quicktime codecs, has absolutely no control over their releases by Apple.
