I've searched the Sony forums but there seems to be precious little info on how to convert an M2V file to an AVI or QT file that Vegas can read. How do I do this?
Vegas can read M2V. If you want it converted to AVI, just drop the M2V on the Vegas timeline and render it out.
Ed, not to be contentious, but this isn't true. I just happen to have an m2v file on my computer. I can drop it into Womble and play it just fine. If I drop it onto the Vegas timeline, Vegas (6.0d) issues the following error message: "None of the files dropped on Vegas could be opened."
I actually had to convert this to an AVI just yesterday, and the only way I could figure to do it was using Womble's Video Wizard product.
