.m4v to .wmd conversion

I was asked if I could do the above conversion. I think .m4v files will work in Vegas, but can't remember if I've actually tried any or not. Wasn't even sure what a .wmd file was. Apparently it was popular back around WMP7 days to have a fully downloadable media package with a custom skin, borders, i.e. places to advertise. I also got the impression from my research it is predominantly an audio file, not a video file. I'm going to check to make sure this is what the client needs - wmd sounds like wmv or wmp - but can anyone shed a little more light on what this is, and how it might work, if it will with a video file?

.m4v is just .mp4 with chapters. If Vegas supports the codec used, changing the extension to mp4 is all you should need to do.

As for .wmd, you are on your own. Never heard of it. "Weapons of Mass Destruction?"
I think they meant wmv.
