Macintosh Equivalent to VF?

Does anyone know of a video editing program for the Mac that comes close to the wonderfulness of VF? Not adding fluff here - I just REALLY like VF. But I need a comparable program to run on the Mac OS X platform. Alternately, does anyone know if VF 2.0 runs in VirtualPC?

The director of our Youth For Christ chapter uses iMovie on his iBook. He thinks it's absolutely amazing (but then, he's never seen anything else). It doesn't have all the features of VF, but it's kinda related to FinalCutPro the way VF is related to Vegas. I think it's very cheap, like in the $30 down to free range.
