This thread was going in the audio forum, but I was not getting any response from Sony.

I was told in an email from Mackie yesterday that Sony will be producing and distributing lexan overlays for the Mackie Universal Controller. Up to now Sony had said it would be the reverse. I DO NOT like taping papr onto my mixer!!!!!!!!!!!
Could we please get some correct information about who is making these the when will they be available...???
cheers.

I don't know who is "responsible" but in the past, Mackie has made these available.
However, you can go to the computer store and buy a sticker paper similar to Postit notes, not sure what it's called, but it's only kinda sticky, and quite removable later. Print on this, and then cut out the holes, it lies VERY flat. 2 of our Controls are done like this. Looks quite good, and will suffice until Sony or Mackie makes the actual overlays.
I don't like the actual overlays, they are too thick, IMO.

Hi Spot,
Thanks for the quick reply.

yes the lexan overlays are pretty thick.
I suppose that sticky paper method you described is the best bet in the meantime.

Other than that absolutely no complaints about either V5 or this Controller.

Cheers.
