I hve used the Mackie controller before with an older version of Vegas, but It doesn't work with V80b on Vista 32.
.
I have assigned the MIDI in/out to the MOTU 828mkII (and checked the cables, in goes to out and out goes to in - those haven't been touched since it worked).
.
I have selected the Mackie in extrenal control/automation, installed it and can click on it - it is shown as Mackie Control (V2.1).
.
The MOTU is on (and connected by FierWire), the Mackie is on and when I start Vegas 'Vegas pro is active' shows in the Mackie display.
.
But nothing else happens.
.
If I go to the Preferences etc.etc and select it the channels come up on the display - sometimes Chan1-8 with no other information and soemtines tracks with the volume values (-2.0 etc.)
.
However, nothing else happens or works. The transport buttons don't work and the time display doesn't change even when I press play on the computer (time line). None of the indicator lights are on. Pressing any of the buttons does nothing.
.
Perhaps there is something I forgot that is needed to make this work.
The controller does work with CueMIX utility from MOTU - the faders effect the on screen display and moving a fader on the screen effects the faders on the Mackie. Some of the inicator lights are on.
.
Thanks for any thoughts.
