Macros to be used in several projects

Hi,
maybe this is already available, but so far I have not succeeded.
I am trying to build small Vegas projects that I can "insert" in larger projects as macros, using the framework of the small project in the larger one, but changing the source.
An example is better: imagine that my small project is "4 images flying from the distance and laying on the ground". I can make this project easily, selecting the 4 pictures and the background and motion-animating everything.
I would like to save this project, and later, when I feel that the effect would be useful in some job, I would import it to my timeline. Vegas would "complain" that my 4 images were unavailable, but I could designate different ones on the fly. And voilá ! New effects A La Carte.
Now, what is the *practical* way of doing this ???

Hi sqblz,

You might try naming the original images fly1, fly2, etc. ...

When creating a new project, copy the veg file into a new project folder and copy your new images as fly1, fly2, etc. into the new folder too, making the elements fit the project, rather than the project fit the elements.

Thanks, Mike, that was a very nice tip.
martyh, I am not very sure to understand your tip, because my issue was importing one .veg incorporating it into another .veg
But the ibliss tip will do. Thanks to both.
