Macrovision Problem - white band covering captured clips

I've followed the advice from some other posts that are getting a white band after capture thought to be from macrovision - that is I've updated to WMD 1.22 and updated the Geforce4 card drivers.... and this solves the problem (ie no white band on captured clips) BUT it only solves it for the first capture after that back to a white band over the centre of each capture. I reinstall everything again and I get one more clean capture - ideas anyone?

I stated before that I am converting all our store bought VHS movies to DVD, using a Dazzle PCI DVC II to encode the composite video as DVD compliant MPEG2. So far I've done about twenty movies, all of which are macrovision protected (my DVCAM deck beeps and displays a warning that the source is copyprotected and refuses to record) without a hitch. Can't understand why you are having such terrible problems. Good luck.
