Magic Bullet / Dvcpro-HD problem?

Hi,

I've started doing some testing with Vegas 9a without transporting a ongoing video project from Vegas 8 to 9a. I've found a weird problem.

I have Windows XP Prof. The video footage is P2/DVCPROHD material: PAL - 720/25pN format. In Vegas I've got Magic Bullet Editors version 2 installed. I use DVFilm's Raylight Ultra to make the P2 footage work in Vegas 8 and 9.

I've got a project working great in Vegas 8 with this footage and Magic Bullet color correction. When I open this project in Vegas 9a, it all seems okay. But when I render the timeline to SD MPEG2 using the Mainconcept tool, at some cuts between shots the MPEG2 file shows a weird frame - something that is not there when you check the timeline. Using the exact same MPEG2 render settings in Vegas 8 gives me an MPEG2 file without these weird frames.

After some experimenting I discovered that removing the Magic Bullet color correction from the project in Vegas 9a solves the problem.
Can anyone confirm that there is an issue with Magic Bullet Editors 2 in Vegas 9a? I haven't tried it with other kind of video footage like HDV, DV etc.

Looking forward to any replies, big thanx!!

No...There isn't an issue with magic bullet Editors and Vegas 9.0a...
Your issue seems to be coming from the fact that the project was
originally created in Vegas 8.

Okay, thanks Steve. I 'll do some testing to see for myself. I hardly wish to believe that's the problem, everything works fine when opening the V8 file in 9a, but you never know what's bugging deep into the software...
