MagicYUV with Vegas Pro 16?

NCARalph wrote on 9/28/2018, 4:51 PM

I'm still playing with proxies for 6K video and decided to try the MagicYUV codec. However, neither of the trial versions of the codec show up in the render templates in Vegas 16 after I install them. Windows Media Player does show them as installed.

Is there any magic 😉

Hi Ralph, mine are showing up (Video for Windows) on MVP16, MVP15, and SVP13. I'm running on Windows 7. I'm not on the trial, they were installed back before I got MVP16 if I recall.

Ah, found it. Thanks.

FWIW. Rendering 6K video was slightly slower than using the Magix AMD VCE rendering with my graphics card.

It's a good codec for intermediates. Would be nice to see 10 bit support integrated in Vegas in near future.
