Magix Customer Service/Support - Lagging (Not-So-Stellar)?

I've been using Vegas since .6 and over the last 11 years there have been comments on the waxing and waning of then Sony, now perhaps also Magix's rather not-so-stellar response to its customers.

Been considering upgrading from VP10e to current VP Edit 15. Downloaded and launched identical .veg side by side set on the exact same frame, and there are some anomalies happening (color variances, fx key frame settings a bit off).

This never happened from v.6 to v.8 to v.10 (while under Sony ownership). I've got a thread going here in the Vegas Pro/Video board on this, but wanted to talk to pre-sales at Magix, Yet...

The line is either busy or recording basically says they are too busy with other customers, try later. Perhaps it's the holiday season, I don't know. But if so, seems they should be prepared for increased volume of inquiries and calls.

This doesn't inspire confidence or taking the risk to upgrade if I can't solve the anomalies isssues.

And this topic of support, etc. probably has been discussed here since Magix bought out Sony's editing software. But I'm not as a frequent participant here as in past years due to not editing or creating videos as much as I used to due to other life priorities.

I'm simply curious as to what others' overall p.o.v. on Magix's customer service/support may be.
Thanks.

They just sold over 100,000 copies of Vegas in the past week through a deal on humblebundle, which i don't imagine they were expecting. apparently the download servers are really slammed as well.

Thanks for response, and glad your experience with Magix is good. And again, perhaps it is because its the holiday season, but day after day I keep phoning in to Magix and still get either busy signal or "Please try later" and get disconnected. Pardon my stance, but this isn't good customer service. All companies know they have an increase in calls and inquiries around this time of the year and -- should -- increase their man/womanpower to handle it. I'm going to have to postpone even considering upgrading.

As to GPU acceleration advantage, not sure it's worth the upgrade (v.10 has none) since I only have a consumer grad card, nVidia GT430. I may be wrong on that, but my guess is that only the higher end cards actually have an effect.

As to my VPro thread and working with Marco on mini .veg to test version side-by-side, this will depend on the above as well. Right now, I'm simply on the fence overall.
