@Former user ... which version of TotalFX came with the purchase? The current version is version 7.
And an alert for those with an earlier version of NBFX Titler Pro (and some on the forum prefer TP5 to 6 or 7), please keep in mind that installing TotalFX will update Titler Pro to the version inbuilt in TotalFX and there's no way of winding back TP to an earlier version without uninstalling TotalFX - TP does not appear separately in Windows Features & Apps when TotalFX is installed.

@Dexcon Yep TotalFX7 👍, it says a saving of over £1k so i'm guessing they are meaning the full TotalFX permanent licence, the download link that came with the email opened a webpage but the download link didn't work,
'You can download the program here: magix.net/2022/NewBlue/NewBlueTotalFX7',
so i downloaded TotalFX7 from NewBlue's page,
I already had MEP Premium 2022 but when i went to Magix page the offer was on 👍
I looked at Newblue Total FX last yr, it was £1500-ish, then it was on offer at Xmas for £700, i was tempted but I prob already have a lot of similar fx's, but when looking again earlier in the yr it had gone back up to £1500 so that answered that for me, But it's £699 again,
It was posted on the Magix page by @Reyfox so i took the gamble, uninstalled all NewBlue i had, some of which seemed to like to deactivate themselves anyway
Thanks @Former user for advising that it is TotalFX7 - that is a brilliant deal - other than for the Titler Pro issue if that is a consideration for anyone. Cynicism kicking in based on long existing marketing tactics - I wonder if this means that TotalFX 8 is soon on its way to market?

@Dexcon Interesting that yesterday after i deleted all NewBlue i could find on my PC & then installed TotalFX7, some of the fx's still had a red cross through them in the thumbnails, looking at the About button they are in the Stylizes Family, This is the prob i had with the Stylizers i had installed before, they had the red cross on the thumbnail & on the screen as well,
Today i installed the Stylizers Illuminate that came with the upgrade offer hoping it would resolve this but nooo, at least now the red cross is only on the thumbnail not the screen, the fx seems to work fine, 🤷♂️ this is why i didn't take the offer at Xmas for TotalFX7 @ £700, Stylizers is a bit of a prick,
@Dexcon TP7 hasn't worked within Vegas. When I start VP19, TP7 starts up too, loading 3x. I am forced to use Task manager to close them. The same happens if I try and access with Vegas or Resolve Studio. TP5 worked great. If I need something from TP7, I'll use the Standalone. I am "forced" to learn Boris Title Studio.... But everything installed into Vegas and Resolve, with limited installing in Video Pro X. For the $50 cost, all effects in Total FX7 installed into 2 editors that I really like and I get a 3rd (Movie Edit Pro 2022) editor to play with.
TP7 has been around for a LONG time with no mention of updating/fixing the problems some have reported.
@Former user I tried Halovision Plus and there is no "FX" watermark.

I tried Halovision Plus and there is no "FX" watermark.
@Reyfox I think it's some kind of left over from my previous NewBlue stuff, like i say i had trouble with Stylizers 🤷♂️
@Former user I had previous installations of NB stuff (Elements, Filters, Stylizers) and just left them in place and installed TotalFX. So far... everything is good except TP7....

@Reyfox Yeeah i was tempted to leave mine but they were beginning to annoy me, clicking on one to find it has a red cross, I think they were destined for the bin anyway, i'd hoped uninstalling all NewBlue, deleting the 2 plugin cache files in Vegas BIN AppData + this TotalFX install would sort it out 😒
YAY!, i just deleted everything in the Vegas AppData folder, & went around those other temp/data files & deleted a couple of others, don't remember what, but i think the main one was going to System - Storage - Temp files, ticking all boxes & deleting them, restarted PC, launched Vegas & woohoo !! 🤸♂️🕺 the red crosses have gone from every fx i've looked at so far, 😁😁😁😁👍
@Former user glad you figured it out! I did a system "clean" of registry and temp folders yesterday, along with doing the AppData folder.
So far all is good..... I just wish I could get TP5 back...

@Reyfox 👍 yep it's good when things work out, prob needed a good purging anyway,
I like playing with the visual fx's in the plugins but i'm a pretty basic text person, in my YT vids it has to be school style easy to read, & if i want something fancier for my own projects, there's plenty in Vegas Titles or creating the text animation myself & adding fx's is part of the enjoyment/satisfaction,
I don't know anything about TP5, was it much different or better?
@Former user from reading here in the forum and personal experience, TP5/6 worked as intended. You can actually see the video playing in TP5 while in TP7, it's a static image. The UI looks the same as TP7, is easy to use and customize. TP7 has more assets/features but if you know TP5, it will transfer to TP7. I just wish it worked for me.

@Reyfox Never used/had it before so I've been playing with TP7, I've stopped swearing at it & sort of starting to like it, my Boris stuff shows in the effects & the ones i've tried work 👍 & you can import a video
one thing.. the timeline in TP7 is always 1.15mins even though the event it's applied to is longer, i've been copying the no' bottom right of the preview screen & pasting into the box bottom left of the preview, i can then drag the text to the entire length, in this pic you see it's 5.15mins?
& so far it's showing Title 11, every time i apply it to an event it goes up even though there's only one text/event application in Vegas?
& that Pause at the top of the timeline is annoying me, i'd like to delete that 😒
@Former user I would love to have the performance of TP5 in TP7. I think everyone has experienced something different with TP7 with a lot of users here in the Vegas forum, dead set against using, especially with lodging support tickets with no joy.

@Reyfox@Dexcon I sent Magix an email, just got a reply 👍
With the 22 Sept 21 build of TotalFX7 installed (the last build available to me via my NBFX My Account), I've got the same templates as Gid with one exception which is the 'Scenes' template - it's not there..
I think that I may have worked out why all the Titler Pro templates listed on TotalFX's product page aren't there. I bought TotalFX7 in December 2020, but NBFX radically changed the purchasing options for getting TotalFX at the end of July last year, and the options since then are:
All the template collections showing on TotalFX's product page may possibly only come with a TotalFX purchase made under the new purchase model. Interestingly, the templates may only come with the subscription options given that the perpetual option makes no mention of the inclusion of templates (a la caveat emptor - if it's not mentioned it's more than likely not there), but NBFX does have those templates for sale at https://newbluefx.com/products/titling/
It looks to me that numbered versions of TotalFX are no longer - it's now just TotalFX and updates/new features will only be available via having a subscription or having an active maintenance plan. My specualtion in an earlier comment that TotalFX8 could be on its way is, I now think, only worthy of being put through the proverbial shredder.

@Dexcon Scenes is empty, i think there is another empty one but all the others are as i described
@Former user My template folders are the same. Although it seems like we should get everything, since the Perpetual Maintenance page below says "for the first 12 months after your purchase, you will also receive major upgrades (e.g. new features)":
@Photo_G ... I get the strong impression that NBFX have fairly much let the rope loose on everyone who bought TotalFX7 prior to the new purchasing model. My current eligible upgrade offers on my NBFX My Account only lists an upgrade to Titler Pro 7 (probably based on earlier versions of TP I had bought) and a subscription offer to TotalFX 360 with 20% off - there is no access it seems to access the maintenance plan based on TotalFX7. I really hope that I am corrected, but it looks like the only way to get the maintenance plan is to buy TotalFX again at $699 USD. I suspect that NBFX would argue that the maintenance plan only applies to those who bought the perpetual licence under the new purchasing arrangement from mid-2021, and it is not retrospective - not even pro-rata - to those who bought TotalFX within the previous 12 months which, IMO, would have been the honourable and customer-focussed thing to have done.
